Foundries

Bearings and motors in foundries struggle to survive in an atmosphere of elevated temperatures and constant bombardment from abrasive grit and other contaminants.
Manual lubrication requires maintenance employees to be in harm’s way in their efforts to try and give these huge bearings enough grease on a frequency that avoids the too-much/too-little scenario found in most plants. Even the most well-meaning PM protocols frequently miss a lubrication cycle due to some unplanned and more urgent maintenance task or emergency.

Hard-to-access conveyor pulley bearings operating in this extreme environment frequently do not last through their rated useful life, resulting in unnecessary downtime and repair/replacement costs. Single-point, programmable electro-mechanical lubricators can supply large amounts of grease, but in small shots, almost continuously, while the component is running.
