Blowers & Fans

Blowers and fans are used in almost all key industries where they provide adequate amounts of primary and secondary air. Exhaust fans remove air containing dust, gases and other harmful substances. In primary air zones, induced draft fans are used in scrubbers, dust collectors, heat exchangers and desulfurization n plants. Circulating fans maintain and regulate temperatures within the chambers of curing ovens. Makeup air fans help maintain static pressure within manufacturing plants as well as transporting environmental air cooled by chillers.
Blowers and fans are often used in extreme operating conditions with many contaminants in the air. Dust and other substances entering the bearing system will lead to increased wear of individual components and a shorter service life of the fan. Regular lubrication of bearings and seals is essential for uninterrupted operation. Fan and blower lubrication points are often extremely dirty and hard to reach, which makes maintenance even more difficult. Roof exhaust equipment can be difficult and expensive to remove and replace. When manufacturer recommended lubrication intervals are not observed, the system will eventually fail as a result of lubricant starvation.

Perma single-point lubricators are the ideal solution to blower and fan shaft bearing lubrication. Lube units can be mounted either directly on the bearing itself, or remotely mounted outside shrouds or guards. A variety of lube unit sizes plus adjustable discharge intervals make SPL’s the ideal solution for a full range of shaft sizes, speeds and loading conditions in any industry.
